How to prepare your journey and important things you need to do and know at the UK border
Things to do-
1. Note down a suitable UK contact including full name, address and a phone number which will be required when you complete your landing card.
2. Complete your landing card.
3. Remove your protective case from your passport ( if any) before presenting it to the Border Force Officer.
4. Have your university of acceptance for studies (CAS) letter and medical card ( if you have one) at hand. If you have not received your CAS letter, then please bring details of your course.
5. At some airports, there are dedicated student lanes. Please look out for these lanes as it will save you time.
Things to know-
1. Never give false or misleading information (including forged or counterfeit documents) to a Border Force Officer.
2. Restrictions on bringing food to the UK – i.e. food made of following products:
meat, dairy, fish, eggs and honey, as well as some fruit, vegetables and plants (e.g. bulbs, seeds, cut flowers and tree bark).
3. Restrictions on the amount of food you can bring to the UK-
There are also restrictions on the amount of goods such as tobacco, alcohol and gifts you can bring in the UK. If you exceed your allowances all of your goods can be taken away from you.
4. Never bring in counterfeit goods, illegal drugs, firearms (including realistic imitations), offensive weapons (including knives) or indecent or obscene material.
5. Make sure you are familiar with the conditions of your visa including the number of hours you are allowed to work.
6. You must declare any sums of cash of €10,000 or more (or the equivalent in another currency) if you are travelling from a country outside the European Union.

以下須知為抵達英國邊境時所需注意事項, 有助於你準備來英國的的行程。
出發前及入境英國時, 請記得做以下安排:
1 記下一個你在英國聯絡人的姓名，地址和電話號碼。英國入境卡會要求你提供此項資料。
2 填妥入境卡
3 遞交護照給入境官前, 將護照的保護套取下（如果有使用的話）
4 備妥你的大學入學許可信（Certificate of Acceptance for Studies, CAS）和醫療卡（如果有）。如果你還沒有收到你的許可信，請帶課程相關資料。
5 在一些機場，請注意是否有專門替學生設的入關關口，以節省通關時間。
出發前及入境英國時, 請記得以下叮嚀:
1 絕對不提供任何虛假或誤導性的訊息(或任何假文件)。
2 所有奶製品，魚，雞蛋和蜂蜜，以及一些水果，蔬菜和植物（如花苞, 種子，鮮花和樹皮）都禁止攜帶到英國。
3 如果要攜帶某些食品, 如煙草，酒精和禮物, 要考量數量的限制。如果你帶超過該有的數量, 你所有的食品可能會被沒收。
