Apply for your Post Study Work (PSW) visa before April 2012! 2012年4月為英國求學後工作簽證(Post-Study Work)申請期限！
For international students who have completed their degree within last 12 months or whose courses are coming to an end in summer 2011, you should be considering grabbing the last opportunity to apply for a Tier 1(Post-study work) visa before April 2012. As this scheme will close in April 2012, this means that if you submit your visa application after April 2012, even if your degree is granted within 12 months, UKBA will no longer accept your application. Therefore, recent international graduates are required to submit their post-study work applications as early as possible should they wish to take the advantage of post-study work visa opportunity. In the section below I have listed the requirements to be granted a Post-Study Work (PSW) visa.
Requirements
1. You have successfully completed a UK degree, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or, only if studying in Scotland, their Higher National Diploma (HND).

2. You submitted your application no later than 12 months after your institution first notified you in writing that you have been awarded the qualification.
3. English Language (As a graduate from a UK university, you will fulfill this requirement automatically.)
4. Maintenance funds:
a) Applying from outside the UK, you must be able to show that you have £2,800. (cash)
b) Applying to stay in the UK, the required level of funds is £800. (cash)
You must have had at least that amount available to you for a period of 90 consecutive days before your application. The bank statement should be issued within one month when you submitted your application.
Advantage of applying for a Post Study Work (PSW) visa
1. You will get a maximum of 24 months under the scheme to work in the UK, to be self-employed or set up in business;
2. You do not need to have an offer of employment before you apply;
3. Broaden your job prospect as an employer will not need to sponsor you;
4. Easier to switch to another work permit visa at the end of your PSW under current Tier 2(General) work permit rules.
a) As your employer would not need to meet the resident labour market test if you switch from PSW to Tier 2 so that this means that it would be easier for your employer to apply for a work permit for you before your PSW visa has expired.
b) Your employer would not need to apply for a restricted certificate of sponsorship and is only required to apply for an “unrestricted” certificate of sponsorship for you to continue working.

無論你是過去12個月內的英國學校畢業生或即將在2011年結束在英國的學士, 或是碩博士課程，這段時間, 你應該已經在慎重考慮是否要抓住最後的機會，在2012年4月前提出你的英國求學後工作簽證(Post-Study Work)的申請。由於這項簽證類別將在2012年4月結束，也就是說如果你若是在2012年4月後提交簽證申請，即使你是於12個月內被授予學位，英國國境局將不再接受你的申請。因此，國際畢業生也儘早提出求學後工作簽證申請, 取得求學後工作簽證以及之後申請工作簽證的優勢。
申請條件
1. 您已成功完成了英國學位，或者, 研究生教育證書（教育文憑），專業學位教育文憑（學位教師教育文憑），或者，如在蘇格蘭取得國家高等教育文憑（HND）。點擊此連結，以檢查你的教育機購為是英國國境局批准的教育機構。
2. 你於你的學校首次以書面形式通知你，已經獲得了學位資格的1年內提出簽證申請;
3. 英語能力（英國大學畢業生及畢業研究生, 將自動通過此條件）
4. 財力證明：
a）境外申請，你必須能夠證明你有2,800英鎊現金。
b）境內申請, 你必須能夠證明你有800英鎊現金。
你所提供的財力證明必須至少有該數額為期連續 90天, 且財力證明的核發日期要在你提出申請前的一個月內。
求學後工作簽證 好處多多
1. 你將獲得24個月的工作簽證，所以你有權在英國工作，要自行創業或設立公司;
2. 申請前, 你不需要已經找到工作;
3. 有工作簽證將提高你找到工作的機會, 因為你的雇主不需要另外贊助你的工作簽證;
4. 簡易轉換至其他工作簽證類別; 主要原因有以下2點:
第一, 你的雇主不需要滿足居民勞動力市場測試，便可替你從求學後工作簽證轉換至一般工作簽，這意味著在你的求學後工作簽證將過期前, 轉換簽證較為簡單, 所以你的雇主將更有意願作為你的簽證申請的贊助人。
第二, 你的雇主不需要替你申請受名額限制的擔保證(Restricted Certificate of Sponsorship), 而只須提出不受名額限制的擔保證( Unrestricted Certificate of Sponsorship)。所以雇主替你簽證申請將不受名額限制,雇主也不會有須要提過高薪資的壓力。
